Good luck to everyone!

Two "Test" Boxes

Yeah, school has been a bit of a pain..... trying to adjust to the workload and other stuff that comes along with school.
BUT, I just got the Box Templates II from Oriental Trading, and I must say that THEY ARE AWESOME!!!! I've only made two so far:
The Coffin Box:
I embossed the back and kind of distressed it.
The Milk Carton:

I'm thinking that the milk cartons will be great for parties, because the template fits on a 8-1/2" by 11" sheet of paper. You could print out a person's picture and put "MISSING CHILD" or something like that. I think that would be a cool party favor..... but maybe that's just me!

Desk Calendar

Finally, I've posted my first craft on my blog!!! Here it is:

Side view:

The number and day of the week:

The months:

I bought a calendar stamp set at Hobby Lobby and used the Staz-on Jet Black ink. It's my first time at stamping, so it's not a great job. I also used my BIA for the bindings and stuff. If you want instructions or measurements, just ask/leave a comment (although it's pretty easy to figure out)...
Overall, though, I'm happy with how it turned out. It's not completely finished, though. I'm going to make a list of important dates and put it on the back so that my sister will know when birthdays/holy days of obligation/etc. are!!!

OMG!!!

I'm sooo sorry that I haven't updated in a WEEK!!! Just to let you know, I'm in the process of putting together a flip calendar for my sister (which has to be done by Thurs....). This is what I will be making into the calendar:

Yeah, not very pretty, but it is turning out nicely!!! I have it about half way done right now, and I should have it done by tomorrow!

Today was interesting, though. I got my schedule and parking space and locker today!!!!! My parking space is thankfully close to the building (so that when it rains, I can quickly get out of the deluge) and my locker is near my friends'. My schedule is what I wanted.
Everything seems to be going well so far. Hope it stays that way!!

San Francisco

Over spring break this year, my family and I went out to San Francisco. It's was a great trip! I finally got to touch the Pacific Ocean (although it was FREAKIN' COLD!!!) and see Muir Woods (which was really..... make-you-feel-very-small?). I think that everybody should visit SF sometime in their life, especially if you live on the east coast. It's great fun!!!

The New Harry Potter Movie

I just got back from watching it, and I must say....
IT'S THE BEST ONE YET!!!
I know that the others may seem lacking, but this one is certainly the best so far! If the seventh's movies top this one, then they might actually win an Oscar..... though they'll just get SNUBBED LIKE THE DARK KNIGHT!!!!! But that's a another rant for another time...
Anyway, if you haven't seen it yet, GO! The only thing is that I really didn't think it was a PG movie. I'm pretty sure it would scare little kids; the scene with "inferi" is pretty disturbing, even for a veteran of such strange things like me. So see the movie before you take any kids, because only you can really tell if the kid(s) can handle it. It's not a very long scene, though, so it might not be as bad as I'm making it sound.
Besides that, it's totally awesome and COMPLETELY worth seeing!!!

Oh, and just so ya'll know, I'm working on a D.C. mini album. We're FINALLY going back to Washington next week, so I've been slowly putting together an album. I normally don't do that sort of thing, but I figure it would be easier to put pics into a ready-made album that having to lull over everything later.
I guess that will be my first craft to post here! ***yay***

Top5 (List #1) - TV Shows

(These aren't necessarily in preference order)
  1. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
  2. Mythbusters
  3. World's Toughest Fixes
  4. Avatar: The Last Airbender
  5. Dirty Jobs
Yeah, I know it may seem rather random, but I wanted to post more that just a slide show....
And if you know where the "Top 5" is from, kudos to you!!!! You earn a cookie! For those of you don't know, rent High Fidelity. It has John Cusak, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Jack Black in it. Watch it!!! It's great!

Costa Rica Slide Show

My dad had a conference in Costa Rica a few years ago, so I made this to showcase his awesome photography of such a beautiful place.

Yay! More cartridges!!!

I got Zooballoo and 50 States in the mail today! Oh My Crafts was having a store wide sale, with 20% your entire purchase. Never one to turn down a deal, I got both of these carts for a grand total (including shipping) for $56.63! I'm so happy!!
Tomorrow I'm going to spend all day playing with both carts and hopefully making some crafts.... but I get sidetracked easily, so we'll see how that turns out!

NYC Band Trip Slide Show

I made this show a little over a year ago. Our band was invited to play in NYC's Veteran's day parade in 2007. It was windy, cold, but really fun! I had already been to NYC with my family, however, going with the band gives a totally different experience. It was TONS of fun!!!

Photos are primarily by me, but others took a few shots.

(I know it's low quality, but I don't want to go through the trouble of making a YouTube account and whatnot....)
Thanks for looking!

A Toddler's World

I hope that you all can download this document.....
It's a short short story (okay, it's only two pages) that I wrote for the school's literary magazine.

Feel free to give constructive criticism on it!

The Cuttlebug Spot Thingy

I heard about this on the Cricut message boards. All I have to do is follow the blog and post a link to it, and then I could win a $1,000 gift certificate to Custom Crops!!! So here's the the blog: http://www.thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/
And if you want to check out Custom Crops, here's their site: http://www.customcrops.com/
I've ordered from them many times, and every time it's been great.
Have fun!!

First Things First

Welcome to my first ever blog! I hope anyone reading this will have a good little time looking at the various things I'll post. I'm into crafting, anime/manga (though not as much as my sister), making slide shows, and writing. Kinda random, I know, but it all fits for me. Besides, these are just my primary interests for now.

Since I get bored very easily, I'll probably update this twice a week. But when classes start..... I don't know what my schedule will be. I'll try to keep it up weekly, but again, I can't be sure when I'll have time.

Thanks for looking and enjoy!
